Spending the week home here in Cleveland with family & friends. Last night I went to the CIFF with my BFF, Abby. We went for the “movie premiere” of Sugar Wars. It’s about the life of Angelo Lonardo in Cleveland. I loved it! The way they did the movie was more of a documentary film than a movie with actors. They interviewed Lonardo family members, friends of the Cleveland family & authors who have written books about the Cleveland mafia. Fun night & we stayed out way later than what we’re used to:)
After Sugar Wars they showed another film, A Fighting Heart about an Irish Cleveland boxer, Johnny Kilbane. Great story & it was neat to hear the history behind the city of Cleveland. They’re both still playing for next couple days so if you get a chance go watch ‘em.
The Oscars were on last night. I thought Seth MacFarlane did ok hosting. What I don’t get is all that musical stuff. What’s so great about people singing lines in a movie?? Seth wasn’t great but wasn’t unbearably bad. The important thing is he had fun doing it. In 2006 Mark & I went to the Emmy’s & the TV Guide After Party & Seth was there with his girlfriend at the time. Mark starting talking to them. Seth’s girlfriend got pissed because Mark had never seen or heard of Seth’s show Family Guy. But Seth was cool… just a normal, nice guy.
Now… the fashion & everybody getting interviewed on the red carpet. Oscars: Best Dressed was Jennifer Lawrence in Gucci. She looked like a princess.
Then there was the Vanity Fair After Party. I thought Naomi Watts looks beautiful for both the show & the after party. That silver metallic dress fit her body perfectly. But the Emilio Pucci black & gold dress was sparkly & fun… appropriate for a party.

#5: Gwyneth Paltrow
I know you’re thinking I’m obsessed with her & that’s the only reason she’s on my Best Dressed list but seriously, I know we all would see this dress on the hanger & be totally turned off & not even give it a chance. But Gwyneth pulled it off!!! And I’ve never seen a dress like it on the red carpet. Her face is flawless. The dress was Emilio Pucci & lacey & she rocked it!
#4: Kelly Osbourne
Kelly wore a J Mendel eggplant colored gown. We’ve seen this shape of a dress so many times but seeing it on Kelly makes it a 1st!! She looks GORG!
#3: Heidi Klum
Heidi was in a Christian Siriano couture dress with vintage lace under a silk tulle and organza pleated skirt. And her jewels were Lorraine Schwartz. I love that she wears both the big names & the designers from Project Runway (who aren’t small names but…) still supports everyone! It’s not over-the-top which makes it something I’d wear, wouldn’t you?

Jennifer sparkled in this Tony Ward Spring 2011 couture gown with a thigh-high split. So sexy & always love the hair down with loose curls. How beautiful is the color of her shoes & clutch

This black number is Romona Keveza. She’s carrying a Judith Leiber Monica clutch & her diamond studs & diamond tennis bracelet are from Kwiat Diamonds. This look is so put together & fun with the hair, the makeup, the SHOES which are a peep-tow platform Giuseppe Zanotti heels! She won “Best Shoe Award” And Kaley had me at “nailpolish”
Last night airing live from L.A. was the 2011 Teen Choice Awards. The Kardashian/Jenner girls were all there walking the blue carpet & took home the Female Reality/Variety Star Award. Lots of wins for Justin Bieber & Taylor Swift. And the TCA’s never go without giving an award to Cameron Diaz & Johnny Depp.

Tay wore a white Rafael Cennamo dress with a thin sparkly belt around her tiny waist. Also sparkling was her Neil Lane jewels. And her hair back in a pony tail. Very Marilyn Monroe inspired!

Selena showed up in a glowing gold Erin Fetherston dress & paired it with a fuchsia clutch. And Brian Atwood strappy heels. Love the gold & fuchsia together.

In a flowy white Chloe dress & her beautiful dark hair half back to show off some of those blonde highlights on the bottom. And Rachel always has the hottest shoes, last night she wore spiky Brian Atwood booties.

Kendall stood out the most (even surrounded by her 4 sisters)!! She walked the blue carpeted runway wearing an Aurelio Costarella dress with a Kotur clutch in hand & towering over her other sisters in Yves Saint Laurent heels. Her hair is on another level! What a supermodel!

Sunday night the Billboard Music Awards were held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Everyone was there from Jay-Z & Beyonce, Ke$ha, Britney, Ne-Yo, Nicki Minaj, Lady Antebellum, 50 Cent, Taylor Swift…. & lots more.

Kelly was in a bright pink, skin tight Herve Leger dressed & strappy nude heels. Michelle was in a dress with sequence on top & feathers on the bottom. Loved the orange & white zebra print clutch.

RiRi arrived on the white carpet wearing an oversized Max Azria white suit with nude Christian Louboutins. Her white opened blouse showed off a gold fringe Solange Azagury-Partridge tassle necklace. She opened the Awards Show withher hit single S&M.

Rihanna was the 1st to perform Sunday night at the Billboard Music Awards. She sang her hit S&M & then Britney joined her for some singing, pole dancing & ending it with a pillow fight.
Beyonce put on her 1st live TV performance of Run The World (Girls). She wore a black & silver barely-there spider web looking outfit. did her own 2 & a half minute performance by herself & then an army of dancers joined her in a highly choreographed number. When Beyonce takes the stage she takes it! I love how she’s all smiles at the end
Ce Loo Green has had some amazing performances but tonight topped them all! Sunday night at the Billboard Music Awards Cee Lo started off with his Gnarls Barkley hit Crazy. He & the glittery piano began to rise up as he launched into his solo number Bright Lights Bigger City. Cee Lo & the piano did a complete 360 degree flip in mid air… at one point leaving him & the piano completely upside down!
Cee Lo was the winner of Billboard’s Viral Innovator award.
