Gwyneth on the cover of Elle’s September Issue

Gwyneth will be on the cover of next months issue of Elle magazine. She talks about her BFF Beyonce & what musical advice she gets from her, what Jay-Z had to say about G’s album & her much talked about interview with Chelsea Handler. Read some of the interview below…

On deciding to launch GOOP: “When you go to Paris and your concierge sends you to some… restaurant because they get a kickback, it’s like, No. Where should I really be? Where is the great bar with organic wine? Where do I get a bikini wax in Paris? People know that I know that…”

On creating a solo album: “Beyoncé and Jay—they think that I should just go do it by myself. That I should go…in a studio and see what happens. And if it’s good, do it. And if it’s not, don’t. So that’s probably what I’ll do.”

On her much-talked about appearance on Chelsea Lately: “Doing Chelsea Handler is like doing Howard Stern: You’ve gotta rise to the occasion. It’s good to shock people who think of me as the prim Gwyneth Paltrow.”

On deciding to take on more upbeat roles: “I’m sick of doing the crying-in-my-soup part. I want to laugh. I want to sing. The main thing is, I want to have fun.”

On getting support from Beyoncé on her surprise duet with Cee Lo Green at the Grammys: “This story always makes me cry…It’s 10 in the morning and Beyoncé schleps it all the way down to the Staples Center to watch. I mean, She’s Beyoncé !”

On the advice Beyoncé gave her before her performance: “Beyoncé’s like, ‘Okay. The singing is great. But you’re not having any fun.’ She’s like, ‘Remember when we’re at Jay’s concert and Panjabi MC comes on and you do your crazy Indian dance? Do that. Be you!’

On the false rumors of a split: “Sometimes it’s hard being with someone for a long time. We go through periods that aren’t all rosy. I always say, life is long and you never know what’s going to happen. If, God forbid, we were ever not to be together, I respect him so much as the father of my children. Like, I made such a good choice. He’s such a good dad. You can never be relaxed or smug and think, I’ve got this thing. That’s also part of it—keeping yourself on your toes. I’m not going to take this for granted.”

On keeping her marriage out of the spotlight: “He makes music for his fans, and he doesn’t want people to conjure a lame famous couple when they’re getting into his music. I get it.”

On choosing not to go to her husband, Coldplay’s Chris Martin for advice on music: “He’s a musical genius. It’s like living with Picasso, and being like, ‘Should I make a little something-something?’”

On showing the world a different side of herself: “If you speak to my friends who’ve known me since I was four, they’ll say, ‘That is her.’ They always said to me, ‘You’re the dirtiest person in the world and so funny. Show the world that side of you.’ I felt guarded. I felt like if I really showed people more of me and I was still not accepted, then…Who cares. You just realize it doesn’t matter what people think of you.”

Britney on the Cover of Harper’s Bazaar

Britney Spears is on the cover of the June issue of Harper’s Bazaar. She’s promoting her new album, Femme Fatale & North American tour with Nicki Minaj. She talks happiness, fashion & music.

What makes BritBrit laugh: “Usually when people trip or fall or run into something. Not to be mean, but I can’t help it. If they really hurt themselves, then I feel bad, but if they accidentally do it and they stand up and act cool like nobody saw them, I have to laugh.”

Best fashion moment & fashion mistake: “I went to the Grammys in 2002, and I had really curly, curly hair. I had a red dress on. It wasn’t short and saucy; it was a long red dress. That dress was fun. Ten years ago at the Billboard awards, I wore this orange hat and orange bra and orange booty pants and purple fishnets. Oh, and I had an orange jacket on.”

What she thinks of Lady GaGa: “She’s unique and extremely talented. I love her spin on everything.”

Her favorite video: “Overprotected. I just think it says a lot. It was directed so well, it was really colorful, and the dancing was amazing.”

Cameron Diaz Promoting Bad Teacher

You’re going to be seeing Cameron Diaz a lot more now that she’s out promoting her new movie, Bad Teacher. She’s featured on the cover of Maxim (she also hit #4 on Maxim’s HOT 100 List) & Elle‘s UK cover. In both interviews she talks about how marriage still isn’t her thing.

Asked in Maxim if marriage in a dying institute: “I do. I think we have to make our own rules. I don’t think we should live our lives in relationships based off of old traditions that don’t suit our world any longer.”

In Elle UK: “Life is long. Why would you ever live in the past when you can live in the present, and allow the future to be bright and happy and exciting? There’s no reason. I think people’s mentality is, ‘It didn’t work out!’ But, like, what didn’t work out? What’s supposed to happen? I think a lot of people are married to people they’re not romantic with any more. I just didn’t ever marry anybody that I then had to get divorced from. We break up. We move on. People are always asking me, ‘Do you want to get married? Do you want to have children?’ My family doesn’t ask me that, they don’t put that on me. They never have. They know that if I want to get married, I’ll do it. They don’t think I’m out there, stranded, without what I want. They see me as active in my life, balancing everything that’s important to me, and if that’s part of what I want, at any point in my life – and who knows, it might be in the future – then that’ll be that.”

Maxim Reveales 2011 HOT 100 List

Some of the gorgeous girls on the list include: Mila Kunis, Bar Rafaeli, Emma Stone, Gabrielle Union, Kate Middleton, Ciara & Eva Mendez!

Inside Khloe Kardashian’s Home & Kloset

Khloe Kardashian let Elle Magazine into her beautiful LA home with Laker’s player Lamar Odom. She talks shoes, shoes & more shoes…. Christian Louboutins, Pradas, Alexander Wangs, Fendis & Nicholas Kirkwoods! The most important pair are the boots her Dad bought her (below, top left picture) when she was in high school. With over 15 pictures of shoes, clothes & handbags all over house.

Khloe talks a little bit about the interior decorating of her home: “My dining room is all about Marilyn Monroe. I searched high and low for a painting of her. Lamar and I are both fans, so a painting of her was something that would make my house complete. Diamond dust glazed over the top layer of paint was something I didn’t even know was possible. This painting adds so much glamour to my house; I will have it forever!”

And about her closet: “I would not have my closet any other way but color coordinated! It makes getting dressed in the morning much easier, and makes your closet appear much cleaner.” “As you might have noticed that I have a reoccurring theme in my closet: sparkles, glitz, and bling… essentially anything that glitters!”

And how she’s a freak: “I love all of my shoes! It is a must to have them color coordinated, and to be able to see each and every one of them. I know exactly where each one lives and I can tell if one has even been moved! It definitely helps to put one shoe facing front, and the other to the back. It saves space, but it is also nice to be able to see the back-side of the shoe. I am an organization freak!”

Guess Who’s on The Cover of SELF???

I think Gwyneth is on more magazine covers than Kim now! ;) She’s out there promoting her new cookbook, My Father’s Daughter. In SELF Magazine Gwyneth talks about her workout secrets, what inspires her & what she though when she saw of picture of herself in Barbados.

Gwyneth’s workout secret: “I do 45 minutes of cardio five days a week, because I like to eat. I also try for 45 minutes of muscular structure work, which is toning, realigning and lengthening. If I’m prepping for something or I’ve been eating a lot of pie, I do two hours a day, six days a week for two weeks.”

This is her inspiration: “I go with my instincts. We’re capable of pushing ourselves and doing whatever we want to do. You live one time, so be your best self.”

When she saw a photo of herself: “I saw a shot of myself in Barbados and was like, all my hard work paid off! I’m 38, I have two kids, and I feel good.”

Lady GaGa in Harper’s Bazaar

On the cover of the May Harper’s Bazaar is Lady GaGa.

She shared her thoughts about plastic surgery, “I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification.”

Jennifer Lopez: World’s Most Beautiful Person

J.Lo is on the cover of People‘s “Most Beautiful” issue. In the interview she talks about her family, American Idol & her kids. Whatev… I love Jennifer but the interview is blaahhh.

This issue will be available Friday.

Gwen Stefani on the cover of Elle

Gwen Stefani is on the May issue of Elle Magazine. This issue is all about Women in Music. Inside you can read & see photos of 12 singers including, Nicki Minaj, Adele, Aretha Franklin, Florence Welch, Stevie Nicks, Jennifer Hudson, Robyn, Feist, Willow Smith & Hillary Scott.

Gwen talks about her marriage, writing music & Lady, GaGa, Rihanna & Katy Perry. Read below…

On Writing Hits: “I do! Why wouldn’t you want that many people listening to the songs that you wrote? There’s no way to go back after you have had it. So the intentions of even the solo records were always about trying to write those guilty-pleasure albums that just get in your head and you can’t get out. I’m not cool, I’m not into the B-sides. Prince, who is one of my idols, gave me some advice when I worked with him: “Have you ever just tried writing a hit? Like, don’t just try writing a song, try and write a hit song.” I remember him saying that and me thinking, Yeah, you’re right. Why would you write anything else?”

On being married to Gavin Rossdale: “The first time we ever kissed was right around Valentine’s Day—we were in New Orleans on tour. So, yeah, I always think about that because it’s unbelievable that we’ve been able to stay together. I feel so proud of us—it’s one of my biggest achievements.”

On whether Lady GaGa, Rihanna and Katy Perry have taken a page out of her playbook when it comes to style: “Really? I don’t see myself in those girls. I usually put pants on. I see these girls as more going for the sex-symbol thing. I was more, in the band, like a tomboy. Of course, I think every girl is sexy, so there’s going to be a little of that. But I see a lot of younger artists going more toward the sexy thing.”

You can pick up this May issue of Elle April 12th.

Gwyneth in Ladies’ Home Journal

Gwyneth Paltrow did an interview with Ladies’ Home Journal to talk about her cookbook, My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness. In the interview she talks all about her life motto, why she wrote a cookbook & hanging out with Mario Batali (who foreword the book).

My cookbook is . . . .
A way for me to honor my dad [director Bruce Paltrow, who died in 2002]. I called it My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness because we learned how to cook together. But it’s strange. The other day I was thinking, Why did I write a cookbook? And, Why did I say yes to singing at the Country Music Awards? I’ll look back at a lot of things I’ve done and say, “How did I have the guts to do that?”

When it comes to food . . . .
I’m the classic Jewish mother. I’m always making way too much, and I’m preoccupied with whether people have had enough to eat. When someone walks into my house, the first thing I do is make sure they’re fed.

The biggest misconception about me . . . .
That I’m uptight. There’s nothing uptight about me! I’ve got this ice-blonde reputation and that’s just not me. I do silly things in public all the time, like hosting Saturday Night Live, or I’ll go out with friends and have a good time. I try to live my life to the fullest even if it means making a fool of myself.

I always avoid . . . .
Junk food. But if someone gave me a basket filled with stinky, stinky cheese I’d be very, very happy.

On overeating . . . .
There’s the me that will have a salad, a bowl of pasta and a glass of wine, and then there’s the other me that will have four glasses of wine, fried zucchini, pasta, chicken parmigiana and dessert. I try not to do that other version too much. I was at a party having dinner next to Mario Batali and he was like, “You’re the only person I know who eats more than me.”

My life motto . . .
Try your hand at whatever you’re passionate about. I’ve taken whatever little bit of talent I was born with and worked it to death.”
