Spending the week home here in Cleveland with family & friends. Last night I went to the CIFF with my BFF, Abby. We went for the “movie premiere” of Sugar Wars. It’s about the life of Angelo Lonardo in Cleveland. I loved it! The way they did the movie was more of a documentary film than a movie with actors. They interviewed Lonardo family members, friends of the Cleveland family & authors who have written books about the Cleveland mafia. Fun night & we stayed out way later than what we’re used to:)
After Sugar Wars they showed another film, A Fighting Heart about an Irish Cleveland boxer, Johnny Kilbane. Great story & it was neat to hear the history behind the city of Cleveland. They’re both still playing for next couple days so if you get a chance go watch ‘em.

Spring break week & my cousins were spread all across Florida so we all met in Siesta Key on April fool’s day. Here we all are… Mark, Dean, Ricky, Heather, Diane, me, Lucian, Aunt Barb, Ronnie, red hat is Uncle Rick (who’s 97 years old!), Alexia, Nina, Niki & Darryn. We walked around Siesta Key Village where all the restaurants & bars are. Daiquiri Deck was our first stop where we had lots of daiquiris, buckets of daiquiris:) Uncle Rick did 2 shot of rum……… April fools!

As we were walking across the street my Mom & I run into our South Euclid neighbors from Homestead Road! Small world. We had a drink with them. Then went to the beach. Siesta Key has the softest sand evaaa. It was voted #1 best beach in the US. The sand was so white too

So fun hanging out with the whole fam in Florida. We are all seriously thinking of moving to Siesta Key … April fools!

Yesterday was like 90 degrees out! We walked around the Boat Show. All these yachts are crazy big & crazyyyy expensive. We saw Elin’s (Tigers ex) new boyfriend, Chris Cline’s yacht called ‘Mine Games‘ She definitely made out at the end of that deal. She’s got like $100 million & a boyfriend with more $$$$.

This is a nice size yacht! ‘Diamonds are Forever’ sits in Palm Beach’s marina year-round. I’d looooove to rent one of these for a week & cruise the caribbean.

The beginning of Spring has been a fun week in Florida. My brother, Joe flew in Monday & we had lunch & dinner at the Four Seasons. The food & atmosphere doesn’t get any better. The nicest hotel facing the beach on the Atlantic Ocean.

We rented a boat on Friday. Mom & David drove across from Naples & we rented a boat from out of Palm Beach Yacht Center We took it up the ocean side toward Singer Island. Saw all the mansions on the water. We can never get enough of those mansions:)

We had lunch at Sailfish Marina Resort. It’s right across the water from Peanut Island & it’s good food with a view of the water. You can get some fish food. There’s no fishing allowed in this marina so you can feed all the big tropical fish that hangout in the clear water right in front of the restaurant. It was overcast but the no rain… perfect out since Joe & Katie did get lots of sun from laying out the day before. They had to soak up as much sun as possible while here… they were going back to Chicago with Spring there being like 30-something degrees. Then we took the inter coastal back to the marina, drank wine & had some of my Mom’s homemade cookies & brownies! They were so good & they went great with the wine
It’s always nice to be out on the water with family in from out of town.

There are so many mansions on the ocean here in So Florida. It’s exciting to look at them, each one is so different & you see something new every time. We’ve seen them from the road driving by, on a boat from the ocean & we found a chopper ride specifically for looking at all the mansions from above so we had to do it.

This was our 4th ride in one. Our first trip together was to Miami & we rode in one there, then Grand Canyon out of Vegas & Hawaii twice. Mark loves choppers. I get kinda scared. I feel like I’m on a roller coaster… sometimes I can’t even look out the window cause I feel like something’s going to happen. Our pilot knew it & dropped the chopper down it almost gave me a heart attack! Mark knew all about the houses here… who lives where, what that person does for a living, who’s building what house…

We never knew this house was on it’s own lil island.

And here’s our faaaavorite house on the water. This picture doesn’t do it justice but it’s all glass in the back & that’s the guest house being built on the right…..You have no idea!!
